AcademicTransfer is the Dutch career platform for working in research in the Netherlands, for every academic, at every stage of their career, and in every sector or field. The cooperative AcademicTransfer supports its 22 member organizations in their search for highly educated talent. What does a membership at AcademicTransfer mean
Each member of the cooperative pays a fixed annual contribution to AcademicTransfer. As an organization, you get a lot in return.
In addition to unlimited job postings, several services are included in the membership. These include employer branding, proactive recruitment tools, and access to a profile database of academic talent.
What do we do for our members
AcademicTransfer primarily supports its members in attracting and finding academic talent. As a cooperative, we position ourselves as the leading platform for careers in science and academia in the Netherlands.
In addition to the services mentioned earlier, we organize various events and workshops aimed at scientists as well as HR professionals and supervisors. We encourage knowledge sharing on a wide range of topics and provide job vacancy data for analysis and benchmarking.
Finally, we continuously improve our platform, responding to technological developments and the evolving needs of our users.
I want to publish a job on AcademicTransfer
Most member organizations have an automatic integration with AcademicTransfer. This means you only have to enter vacancies once in your organizations' own system (ATS; applicant tracking system); these are then automatically published on our platform.
Does your organization not have an integration (yet)? You can easily enter and publish vacancies via our entry portal. Check with your HR or recruitment colleagues to see which situation applies to your organization. We are also happy to think along with you, mail us at service@academictransfer.nl.
As a member organization, you can post an unlimited number of vacancies free of charge. This way you reach your target group directly: thousands of monthly visitors who aspire to a career in academia.
I want to post my job on EURAXESS
We automatically forward English-language academic vacancies from our member organizations to the EURAXESS job portal (the European platform for researchers and scientists).
It is important that your vacancy includes the correct job specifications:

What does AcademicTransfer do for candidates
AcademicTransfer supports academics and scientists in finding a job in research. First and foremost, AcademicTransfer offers its visitors an overview of all research vacancies in the Netherlands.
Candidates can save their favorite vacancies, set up email alerts, upload their CV and/or research proposal to be matched with job openings, and indicate that they are open to being contacted by recruiters from our member organizations.
In addition, AcademicTransfer helps (early-career) researchers explore career opportunities and prepare for taking the next step in their professional journey.
Researchers can explore various career paths both within and outside academia, gain insight into their skills, and work on their CV, personal pitch, and expanding their professional network (see these career preparation tools).
We also offer a wide range of supporting inspiration, including blogs, a podcast, and an eBook.
How do we match candidates with your job position
Everyday AcademicTransfer connects academic employers with talented researchers. Both groups contribute a wealth of information: from detailed CVs to complex job descriptions. This variety can make it challenging to quickly find the right match.
That’s why we are working on several projects aimed at improving academic recruitment. These initiatives focus on smarter interpretation of CVs and vacancies, content-based candidate matching, and providing targeted feedback to help close skill gaps. This makes the recruitment process faster, more transparent, and fairer.
