About the speakers

Dr. Christine Teelken works as an associate professor at Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam). Amongst other roles, she is member of the management team of the department of Organization Sciences, and coordinates a bachelor and masters' program. Her research focuses on (post) academic careers such as postdoctoral researchers, and gender diversity in academia.

Dr. Chiat Cheong is consultant in PhD career development since 2009. She provides academic employers targeted programmes in PhDs/postdocs career development. Two main goals: 1) to engage early career researchers timely in broad career orientation and 2) to equip them with the right career skills and attitude, empowering them to take the lead in their own development. Currently she is part of the Career Service team at DKFZ in Heidelberg and combines this part-time position with her freelance work.

Dr. Inge van der Weijden works as a senior researcher and PhD-coordinator at CWTS (Centre for Science and Technology) - Leiden University. Three important research subjects to her are: career paths, mental health, and recognition and rewards. Next to her research job, Inge recently started working as a certified professional coach.

Roland van Houtert works at AcademicTransfer and is responsible for Member Services. He consults and deliberates with our members and according to that output he initiates projects that help solve problems of recruiting and exit strategies.
